Motor Trade Sales Executive

Sales executives in the motor trade are very important. They are in charge of dealing with customers and they oversee auto sales. It is very important that they have experience in the field of auto sales. In the motor trade, a sales executive must be self-driven and have great communication skills.

            As with all sales positions, the individual must be able to communicate well with potential customers. The salary of the said position can reach six figures a year with benefits and an unlimited amount of money you can make. The money that you can make is really up to how hard you want to work.

            The sales executive is the main source of income for a dealership. Sales executive are the people that actually gets out into the car lot and helps someone find their perfect car. Since they work with customers all day long they must be trained to deal with the customers according to the company’s   standards.

            When the customer has picked out their dream car the sales executive then must work with the customer to get the best price. The sales executive’s paycheck depends on how much they can get for that car. If the customer is smart and can work the sales executive down, the sales executive then must go to the sales manager and get approval before going on. When buying a car you might see the sales executive go back and forth between you and the sales manager because they do not have the ability to approve lowering the cost like the sales manager does.

            The income that you can make as a sales executive depends mainly on how hard you work. You get a base pay but the main source of your income comes from selling cars. A sales executive may receive training many times every year or when a new model of car comes out. Dealerships have a set of policies that sales executives have to follow if they want to work at that dealership. The outlook for this career is high. It is fairly easy to acquire a sales executive position in the motor trade.
